Anybody 3d print one of these thicker and stronger?
How long does it take to swap the BH to the tiller and back?
I would say I can take the backhoe off in 2-4 mins. And the 3-point and tiller would take another 10 mins if I am quick to get on. So a full - BH OFF > Tiller ON > Tiller OFF > BH ON cycle would take me about 25-30 mins.
Couvercle d’arbre de transmission avant kubota BX quel est le numéro de la piece merci
Je ne sais pas, vérifiez les schémas de pièces sur le site Web de Kubota.
How long did it take? Debating on renting a backhoe vs a mini excavator for a day to remove a eucalyptus trunk
About a couple hours maybe. Tops
By the time you get the binder and chains out. I can have strapped up and be down the road 10 miles. LOL
Yep, working on switching to straps now, no need for chains and binders with a tractor this small
I'm no genius, Kevin. but I think you need a bigger tractor.
Thank you for this video it was extremely helpful to me!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching.
Good explanation of the work.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
I have a BX24 and with an 800' driveway and Michigan winters, my favorite is the front mount snow blower. It attaches as a mod mount device so it is up front where I can see where I am going. A blade piles snow on each side until you have too much. The two stage blower puts it 50' away, nice. Thanks for great video.
Right on, I wish my driveway pavement wasn't so heaved so I could get one of those. I have a 24" ariens I use instead most of the time because it is skinny and doesnt crown my driveway.
That’s a little beast, could not believe what that machine could do.
Great video! What is the name of the item that replaced the original cotter pins? Certainly looks better than cotter pins.
nah they sucked, stick with cotter. they ended up coming off and had to just switch to cotter.
Ill have to save this video as a reminder how to do this but the first thing I did was replace the snap rings with push pins
yep, been meaning to do that!
Thanks for the video. I need to do this to my 23s. Wasn’t sure how much time it would take or difficulty, this moved it way up my to do list. Pretty simple and straightforward.
This one has already broken... haha! not sure I am going to replace it a second time. It is just a weak part that would help from being held on with a few more bolts.
BXpanded sells a kit that mounts a trailer ball to the end of the backhoe in place of the bucket.
Yea I have heard about those but I feel they put unnecessary pressure on the backhoe’s hydraulic cylinder seals. Also the tow point is higher than the center of gravity which can be dangerous, I prefer off the draw bar.
Your sink just drains into the yard?
It’s an 1800s farmhouse that only gets 2 weeks of use a year for vacations. I was surprised to find no drywell or septic as well, but that’s how they do it in the backwoods.
People love to shit on these things but you can get so much work done with a small tractor! Nice work, thanks for sharing!
Dang im glad your Kubota can handle a rock that size. I just paid the deposit on the same machine sign the final paperwork tomorrow then get my machine delivered this Friday. I know ive got a good sized rock or two in my garden but after starting to dig it up with a spade and seeing the size it was growing into i just put the dirt back and left it in place lol. Now your video makes me believe I can finally dig those rocks out and get rid of them once and for all. Im just praying they are not nearly the size of the boulder you dug out lol. Great video, you did an awesome job getting that rock out. I can't wait to see more of your updates. 😊
Thanks Curt, awesome comment. Thank you very much. You are going to love your machine, maintain her and she will treat you right. Be sure to watch the messily videos on the BX23s from like 3-4 years ago, especially the ones on maintenance.
Good evening Kevin, nice job with the landplane. Thanks for taking us along, Ben
It was a tiller but thanks! :)
That may be a rocky as my land... Is that a new property?
Haha yea it is insanely rocky up here in the far north east, this is a family property about 5.5hrs north
Did a similar job like that years ago for my niece with my old Wheel Horse and mechanical tiller. Not nearly as nice as your landpride one. Be good if you or the owner could follow the till up with a york rake or power rake. Anyway, nice job.
One of the best investments I've made, buying a Kubota BX2680, loader, 60" mid mount mower, box blade, and roto-tiller. Although, I don't use the tiller much, its sure nice to have...I mow a couple of 3/4 acre pastures a couple times a year...and I occasionally roto-till a garden or two. I have the reverse rotation version of your tiller...it does great, couple passes on untilled ground and I'm done....takes longer with a front rotation tiller...and those dang rocks don't help you at all LOL. What I've found with my tiller, I just put the skids all the way up and let the tiller dig in as far as it can, and usually on the 2nd pass its buried as deep as it'll go...first pass is usually only a couple inches deep, the 2nd pass typically finishes it off...on occasion I'll have to make a 3rd pass if I'm tilling a new spot that's never been touched before. You have a deck-over trailer...I've been kicking myself for not getting a trailer like that...the dang fenders are in the way on mine for being able to really utilize it to its full potential. With my roto-tiller, I built a pallet that the tiller sits on with the skids and kick stand down, and chains to the pallet so I can pick it up with my pallet forks, and set it on a shelf, or load/unload it from my trailer. My mower deck will soon get the same treatment, so much easier to store attachments/implements on pallets and put them on shelves out of the way LOL.
Great comment my friend. Always appreciated. Yea we wernt too sure with all the rocks and Mike was fine with taking it slow and going easier on the tiller. The end result seems decent. I would like to do one more "deeper till" in the future, but unfortunatly I had time constraints and had to get to an auction across the street from my home. Thanks for the views!
@@LukyNumbrKevin There's always the end of season till or rototilling in the spring. Throw some compost in before spring, or do it in the fall and start building up the soil of course. Its hard to imagine all the roto-tilling I used to do with a walk behind Troy Bilt Roto-Tiller, compared to sitting on a tractor pulling a roto-tiller LOL. I mow for a lady that I won't accept money for, she always seems to sneak a gift card in somewhere somehow LOL. Yeah, I should be charging, but at the same time, I don't run a business so I don't feel like its a good idea.
Grapple time!!!!
Ohhhh don’t temp me!!!!
Where did you get the teeth on your loader bucket? Did you get those from the dealer or did you find those after market? I’d like to get some for mine but can’t find anything like what you’ve got. Thanks!!
For the backhoe or front loader?
The front loader
@@pvtburich that is the BXpanded Toothbar
BXpanded makes a root ripper and a quick change head for subcompact hoes. I ordered one. Can’t wait for it to arrive and try it out 😁
I have one of each, check out my other videos!
Thank you
Cool video! Wish I had some land like that to play in too!
Tim from Canada… suggestions… wrap a toe rope around your rock, then see if that child’s tractor pull it out
Hello I have BX23 also I have a question, The hydraulic arms will they go up and down with the moving deck?? It's new I'm not for sure.. Thanks
Which hydraulic arms, the front loader or the three point hitch?
On the top back where the diggers is located, putting the mowing deck up and down do they work together will the two arms go up and down with mowing deck?? Its the two arms up top I hope that makes sense 😄 I know when your mowing its has where you move it in the right direction with the picture of the tracker. 🤣
@@shelleycummins1835 The mower deck hydraulics and the 3-point arm hydraulics are connected together. The mower deck and 3-point arms will always move up and down together. Let me know if you have any other questions or comments, happy to help!
Dude..get that stupid plastic bin OUT of there when first starting to loosen the drain bolt, and remove it before putting drain bolt back in!!!!! Why fight it? It's in the way and it doesn't need to be;)
Yea, this was my first time doing this on a tractor. Odd being this close to the ground but the bin did it’s job. Drain pan would have been way better but mine is too tall because I bought it for my truck a decade ago.
Why do you need a huge deck over trailer for a BX23?
All I could find at the time, bought at the beginning of COVID. Got her for a good deal. Actually looking to downsize. I agree it’s a bit big but nice to have.
@@LukyNumbrKevin yeah Covid screwed everything up, it is a very nice trailer and gives you room for extra equipment too
Yea it’s great when we head 5 hours north to the Farmhouse for vacation, can pack everything the family needs and all the tractor stuff.
You’ve got a serious mosquito problem😂
have you raised your hydraulic pressure on the BX? This is seriously impressive if it's all stock.
I believe I am around 2100 psi but I would have to confirm. I shimmed her about 2-3 years ago. So to you I say GREAT EYE, you were the first to notice. But to be honest it is hard to tell the difference between shimmed and stock hydraulic pressure.
Very nice piece of land you have there... After our ice storm here in Ontario Canada, I have a lot of cleanup to do as well. I did get a new to me grapple mid summer last year and will put it to use, if and when you get a grapple, you will love it, especially on your property. Although they have gone up in price... I bought mine used (lightly) LandPride SGC0554 for 1400.00can - 1035.00us, I think they were 1800.00can new at the time. I was curious and wanted to see what they go for now, I was surprised, the next batch they have coming in will be 2700.00can - 1995.00us... Sorry for the rambling, got started and couldn't stop lol... So all that to say get one as soon as you are able to, it seems the pricing just keeps going up :(
Forgot to mention the wildlife on my property . About 20 yes ago had a problem with hunters Evan though my ground was marked , so then I've started laying out food piles and just before archery season I'd call the game commission and they would mark outside my property as a baited area , by doing so not only would they be hit with trespassing but also hunting a baited area. Just thought I'd let you know !
I like this! I will have to keep it in mind as I am hours from this property and only get up there a couple times a year. We have a local neighbor that watches over the land for us who we trust but who knows what the future holds.
Sorry it took me so long I've been busy getting ready to install my garden !
I was doing the same thing last night, tending to seedlings.
Hello Kevin , They say money can't buy you happiness , but in my book it can in the form of serenity and this piece of ground you have is pure happiness.
I don't have a tiller for my tractor. But it seems to me that these tillers basically only scratch the surface, and don't go very deep. Is that the case? Or do they actually dig deeper than what they appear to? OR, is it one of those things that if you want to go deeper, the more times you go over it by scratching the surface, the deeper it eventually goes? Just curious as to how they work....
I can try to do a video on this soon. Tillers can create a "pan" where the tiller blades scrape the dirt. I think this is one of the cons of the tiller as no-till would not create this pan in your garden. I can get this tiller to grind down about 6"-8" from existing grade and it fluffs it up to about a foot of total depth if the moisture content is nice and low. That's on the full depth setting when I am scratching out a new garden. When just leveling a lawn area, which I need to do hear soon, I drop the depth gauges so the blades are only scratching the top 2"-3" of grass/soil and mulching it up. Since I have to do both soon I will try to get a comparison and drop a depth gauge do see actual real world depths, garden vs. lawn. Thanks for the comment, hope you watch more of my videos in the future!
Lol you did realize that
I got there sooner or later, haha. A broken clock is right two times a day!
Remove tire and you can get to the strainer a lot easier
Ah! The boat was keeping it from coming over the whole time! Just kidding. :) Good job and great determination brother!
Nice example of a small machine's capabilities. Some constructive criticism: buckets aren't really crazy expensive where at 15:05 your could have the bucket tilted back & use the thin-underside to smooth/compact as you're moving forward. I play I crushed concrete with mine & I think I'll get 2k hours before I get holes or an unusable front edge. I'm somewhat over removing stumps b/c here in zone 9 I can rot them in under 3 years. I now have a fairly large betsy beetle colony in my log stack so hopefully I can get my log-rot process on my property down to under 2 years. The pile also makes a great place to spray insecticide for mosquitos trying to get out of the wet weather, where their wet bodies will find a dry spot to come in contact with my poisons. The beetles are in the logs so my mosquito spraying doesn't lower their colonies enough to worry.
Must be nice to have no snow... Nice property, do you have a couple of acres?
Haha, yea this year has been very mild where we are at, spouses to get a foot tomorrow though. Yea we have 2 acres here.
@@LukyNumbrKevin Ill be waiting for your snow clearing video lol.
@@ticklemeorange8328 Me too!
Try greasing that bad boy next time, that is standard of the trade for assembling 3034 sewer pipe. Good Vid enjoyed it. You guys work good together, have fun.
Good vid. You are a good operator on that BX for sure. You need to take that tree out too much fussing around backing the trailer. Also where are you at to have nice Sandy Loam without any rock in? Boy you are a lucky man, digs great.
One of the yellow buckets looks very happy, the other isn't sure (just after 3min to 4 1/2 min) 😂🤣
lol
No-offense but IMO That's a bad idea. I don't have your rainfall data in-front of me but I'd never have a reduction in my design, especially if it didn't have an easy-to-access clean-out/catch-basin/or-accessible-sump. My YT drainage playlist has some of my favorite lessons. If this project gets upgraded it'd be neat to hear the lessons. I have dual smooth 6" & a smooth 8" on my street so I've seen them put to work.
Had the same thought myself, we will see what happens in the future. This is mostly for ground water and the occasional large storm. The lot is sloped so this picks up what comes out of a couple swales if my front yard. This is not an ideal setup, but I have another 60 feet to go and 12” HDPE got expensive the past couple years, this 6” should be more that sufficient. And I have screens upstream. Thanks for watching and commenting, always appreciated!
Treat yourself to a grapple, and 3rd function. Amazing for tree work.
I have the same Kubota as you got and the easy way to move these rocks is get a piece of plywood roll them on and tow them away, I’ve done a lot of them doing it that way.
Thanks for the tip, i definitely need to build a rock sled!
